What is Compass Rose?
A Compass Rose is an element of a map used to show direction. This is the symbol used in Navigating the Alzheimer’s Journey.®
Compass Rose® is Westmont of Brentwood’s memory care program. It is designed with a nationally recognized gerontologist to guide residents and their families as we care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or other memory impairments. Focusing on personal care, we help maintain each individual’s independence and quality of life during this journey. We aim to provide a life-affirming, meaningful, and satisfying culture while respecting our residents’ choices and dignity.
We complete an Individualized Care Plan and Life History to assess each resident’s needs and fully understand their background. Then we create an activities program, including various events designed to preserve function and promote enjoyment and well-being at our Brentwood memory care community. Creating fun through light-hearted moments is also an integral part of the Compass Rose Memory Care Program® and goes a long way to relieving the stresses of everyday life.
